Princess Yachts will show its Princess Yachts X95 for the first time in Hong Kong this weekend.
The extraordinary Princess X95, which boasts a remarkable range of entertaining spaces and options, will be available for viewing at Aberdeen Marina Club from February 23rd-26th.
The design of the Princess X95, combined with the finest British craftsmanship and yacht architecture, delivers a unique boating lifestyle and experience at sea. The Princess X95’s design perfectly suits owners who wish to spend significant time aboard while exploring stunning coastal locations.
Out on the water, the graceful lines, timeless elegance and beautiful silhouette of the Princess X95 are a mark the highest standards in motor yacht luxury and performance. Indeed, three models of this ground-breaking luxury vessel have already been delivered to clients in Hong Kong.
Creating this class-defining yacht from Princess’s design brief was the work of the brand’s long-standing naval architect, Bernard Olesinski, in partnership with legendary Italian design house Pininfarina SpA. The collaboration helped craft a statement yacht focused on adventure (the X stands for Exploration) while employing the ultimate in contemporary yet highly functional yacht architecture.
“X95 takes spatial architecture on a yacht to a new level,” said Andy Lawrence, Head of Design for Princess Yachts. “With a large cockpit, rear flybridge, forward flybridge and foredeck areas, owners will have four large and unique outdoor environments on an X95. Combined with the spacious and flexible main deck space and the unique Sky Lounge, the X95 has a range of living spaces, indoor and outdoor, that dwarfs those of any other boat of its size.”
The Super Flybridge, the X Class’s defining characteristic, makes the X95 stand out clearly from other 95-foot yachts on the market. This feature means that the X95’s layout provides 10% more outdoor space and a remarkable 30% more indoor space than a traditional motor yacht. Princess Yachts also allows for customisation of the model’s large, adaptable spaces around guests’ preferences, whether it’s hosting and entertaining or providing high levels of privacy.
On boarding the boat via the large teak-laid deck platform at the stern, guests will encounter a pair of elegant stairways which immediately lead up to a huge cockpit, which in turn leads to the entrance to the main deck saloon. This large, open space, which is flooded with light by day, can be configured in a traditional fashion with a stylish sofa and coffee table area, integrated drinks refrigerator and icemaker, a private galley, and a unique master cabin with 270-degree panoramic views through tinted, toughened glass windows.
However, film fans can also choose to configure the X95 with entertainment as a focus, replacing the stateroom with a cinema lounge. Alternatively, if hospitality means that the kitchen is at the heart of the cruising experience, the X95 can offer a single open space that encompasses a large saloon area, a full-width open-plan chef’s kitchen with a large centre island and breakfast bar, and a connected dining or recreation area with 270-degree views to port, starboard and the bow.
Another unique experience comes with the fully enclosed and climate-controlled Sky Lounge, with its sumptuous lounge seating, classic teak flooring, and panoramic views. Behind the Sky Lounge is an enormous rear flybridge area with a covered dining zone for eight and a large flexible space for free-standing lounge furniture, where owners can entertain in style. There’s even more entertaining space with another fantastic area for relaxing or entertaining – a stylish U-shaped seating area and a sunbathing area or spa bath further towards the bow.
In total, the Super Flybridge stretches almost 22 metres (72 feet), more than double the length of a typical flybridge on a yacht this size. Yet intimate spaces are also considered, such as a foredeck area that can be used as a private breakfast space while at anchor.
The Princess X95 also offers an optional beach club area that features a lounge and galley, an extra space that can house guests or an extra crew member. The beach club opens directly to the bathing platform at the rear, providing easy access to the water. There’s also storage for a jet ski, along with crew quarters, a bathroom and a mess to the rear of the beach club.
In the centre of the lower deck is the stunning Master Stateroom with its large double bed, stylish bedside tables, an elegant portside sofa, a coffee table and a beautiful en suite bathroom. Additional port and starboard guest cabins can each be configured with two single beds or one double bed, and both feature en suite bathrooms. Towards the front of the lower deck lies the striking Forward Stateroom, complete with a large double bed, walk-in wardrobe and another en suite bathroom.
There is also an option for the full-beam master cabin to be specified as two en-suite cabins, making the X95 capable of accommodating 12 guests, or for those who wish to stay fit whilst at sea there is also a gym option.
Characterised by beautifully sculpted surfaces, with long flowing lines that extend from bow to stern, the X95 defines a new concept of boat design while maintaining classic Princess design cues. With the X95, Princess Yachts has made significant steps in improving stability in all sea conditions and a 15% improvement in efficiency compared to a traditional hull design. Powered by two MAN V12 engines, the X95 has a maximum speed range of 24-26 knots. With a fuel capacity of 13,800 litres and a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles, the X95 has been created with far-reaching adventurous voyages in mind.
Whether on short hops or longer voyages, the X95 also provides the ultimate in onboard entertainment. The X95’s unique sundeck features a Naim Uniti Atom audio system with waterproof speakers, while the innovative Sky Lounge houses a 4K UHD TV with Naim audio system. Electric blinds on all side-glazing control the levels of light for the optimum viewing experience.
